Be the change
Be the change
“We are not static beings, but a constant river of experiences. Healing is not about reaching a destination, but about learning to ride the waves of our own nature without fear.”
How can I help you?
Topics that can no longer be postponed
When tension replaces intimacy, it feels like you're speaking two different languages. Constant arguments and feeling misunderstood can drain your energy and create a painful distance between you and your partner. But conflict doesn't mean your relationship is over; it means it's time to learn new ways to communicate.
Imagine navigating disagreements with calm and mutual respect. Instead of distance, you feel a deep sense of closeness, teamwork, and trust. This is about building a partnership where both of you feel truly seen, heard, and valued.
Therapy provides a safe space to untangle the roots of recurring conflicts. Together, we will explore your individual reactions and needs, helping you restore harmony and build lasting closeness.

When worry becomes your default state, it’s not just uncomfortable—it’s exhausting. Intrusive thoughts and the constant urge to plan for the worst-case scenario can make it impossible to focus on the present. But this constant state of tension is not your normal, and you don’t have to carry it alone.
Imagine a mind that is quiet and clear. Instead of being driven by fear, you can concentrate on your daily life, make confident decisions, and genuinely relax in moments of rest. True freedom means waking up refreshed and feeling in control of your emotional state.
Therapy is a secure space to understand the roots of your anxiety. Together, we’ll develop practical tools to reduce that inner tension, bringing you back to a place of balance and calm.

You might be doing well on paper — good job, stable income, ticking the boxes. But something feels off. The work doesn't feel like yours. You show up every day to something that doesn't reflect who you really are.
Maybe you've always had a sense that you're meant for something different — but you don't know what it is, or you're afraid to pursue it.
In therapy, we explore what really drives you beneath the surface — your values, your patterns, your deepest needs. Together we work out what kind of work would feel genuinely fulfilling, not just financially secure. And we look at what's been stopping you from getting there.
This isn't career coaching. This is deeper. It's about understanding yourself well enough to make choices that are truly yours.

Work through depression
You wake up and nothing feels worth it. You function — but it's effortful. You cancel plans, not because you're busy, but because you just can't. You tell yourself it'll pass. It doesn't.
The frustrating part is that you probably already know the advice. Sleep more. Exercise. Be grateful. And maybe you've tried it. Maybe it helped a little, for a while. But something underneath didn't move.
That's usually because depression isn't the problem — it's the signal. Underneath it, there's something that hasn't been fully looked at. A loss that wasn't grieved. A way of seeing yourself that's been there so long it feels like fact. A pattern in relationships that keeps producing the same result.
In our sessions, we go there. Not to dig up the past for its own sake — but because that's where the actual shift happens. You start to understand why you feel what you feel. And that understanding changes something. Not overnight. But genuinely.

Resolve conflicts
You leave a conversation and spend the next hour replaying it. You agreed to something you didn't want to do — again. Around certain people you become a different version of yourself: smaller, more careful, always slightly on guard.
You might have tried to change this. Told yourself to speak up more. Set a boundary — and then felt so guilty about it that you undid it the next day. Or avoided the situation entirely, which solved nothing.
The thing is, these patterns aren't character flaws. They developed in relationships where something was at stake — where keeping the peace, staying small, or putting others first was the safer option. The problem is they don't update on their own. They keep running in relationships where the original conditions no longer exist.
What we work on isn't how to have difficult conversations. It's understanding why certain people or situations trigger these responses so reliably — and what's actually underneath that. When that becomes clear, the pattern loses its grip. Not because you're trying harder to be different. Because you actually understand what's been happening.

Heal past trauma
The past doesn't always stay in the past. Sometimes it shows up in how you react to people you love, in the tension you carry without knowing why, in the sense that something is off — even when your life looks fine from the outside.
This isn't weakness. It's what happens when difficult experiences don't get fully processed. They don't disappear — they shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and what feels safe.
What we work with isn't the trauma as an event. It's what it left behind — the patterns, the beliefs, the ways of protecting yourself that made sense then but cost you something now. As those become clearer, they start to lose their grip.

What to expect
1. We begin with what feels most important
In the first session, we begin with whatever feels most present, difficult, or emotionally charged. This might be anxiety, relationship pain, low mood, confusion, self-doubt, or simply a sense that something is not working.
2. You do not need to have it all figured out
There is no pressure to explain everything clearly or arrive with perfect understanding. I will help you find a starting point, slow things down, and begin making sense of what you are experiencing.
3. We explore your experience together
Our work is not only about talking through problems, but also about understanding the emotions, patterns, and underlying experiences connected to them.
4. You leave with more clarity and direction
Many people leave the first session feeling clearer, more understood, and less alone with what they are carrying. Over time, therapy can help you recognise patterns more easily and respond to them with greater awareness and choice.

About me
BACP & BPS accredited
Hi, I'm Daria Pishchugina- a psychologist accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and BACP, based in England. I work online with individuals in the UK and internationally, in English and Russian.
My specialisation- I work with adults who feel lost, stuck in repeating patterns, or disconnected from who they really are. This includes people who are in unhappy relationships but don't know how to change them, those who feel trapped in work they hate without knowing what they actually want, and those searching for a deeper sense of self — their own identity, values, and place in the world. My focus areas include identity and self-worth, anxiety and low mood, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
My approach- I draw on person-centred therapy, psychodynamic principles, CBT, and Process-Oriented Psychology — adapting to what each person needs. This is not a space to simply talk through your week. The work goes deeper — into the unconscious patterns, beliefs, and experiences that quietly shape your choices, relationships, and sense of self. Because change that happens at that level is change that actually holds. My goal is not just to help you cope, but to help you genuinely understand yourself and make choices that feel like your own.
My story- I came to psychology through my own experience of therapy. There was a time when I felt completely stuck — trapped in a relationship that was draining me, struggling with depression and a deep fear of change. Therapy changed that. Gradually, I began to understand the patterns behind my choices, found the courage to make difficult decisions, and rebuilt my life in a way that finally felt like mine. That experience is what brought me to this work — and it's why I understand, from the inside, that change is possible even when it feels completely out of reach.
Working together- Sessions are 60 minutes, online via Zoom, in English or Russian. I offer an initial free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we're a good fit before committing to anything.
Qualifications and credentials
Do you work online?
Yes, I work exclusively online, which means I can support clients anywhere in the world — the UK, Europe, or beyond.
How do I know if I'm ready for therapy?
You don't need to be in crisis to start therapy. If you notice recurring patterns, persistent low mood, difficulty in relationships, or simply a feeling that something needs to change — that is enough. Readiness isn't about having the perfect moment. It's about being willing to look honestly at what isn't working.
FAQs

FAQs *
What are your qualifications?
I am registered with BACP and BPS and work within a professional ethical framework, with a commitment to ongoing supervision and professional development.
What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't help?
This is more common than you might think. If previous therapy felt too surface-level or didn't create lasting change, Process-Oriented Psychology often reaches places that more structured approaches don't.
What is the free consultation?
You are welcome to start with a free 15-minute introductory call. It is a chance to talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you have, and get a sense of whether we are a good fit. No pressure, no commitment.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some clients come with a specific goal and work for 2–11 sessions. Others prefer longer-term support. We will discuss what feels right for you in our first meeting — and revisit it as we go.
Do you offer therapy in Russian?
Yes. I offer sessions in both English and Russian. I work with Russian-speaking clients across the UK, Europe, and worldwide. Working in your mother tongue allows deeper, more precise emotional expression — particularly when exploring trauma, depression, or anxiety.
How much does a session cost?
Sessions are 60 minutes and cost £50. The first 15-minute introductory call is completely free and carries no obligation to continue.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults who feel lost, stuck in patterns they don't fully understand, or disconnected from themselves. My clients come with relationship difficulties, identity questions, anxiety, low mood, or major life transitions.
How often will we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions. We'll discuss what works best for you in our first consultation.
Is online therapy safe and confidential?
Yes. Everything you share remains strictly confidential.
Can I work with you from any country?
Yes. I work online with clients worldwide — wherever you are, we can work together.
